The Parable of the Tares

The Savior himself explained this parable in the same chapter upon the request of his disciples and says:

  • He that soweth the good seed is the Son of man; and

  • the field is the world; and

  • the good seed, these are the children of the kingdom; and

  • the tares are the sons of the evil one; and

  • the enemy that sowed them is the devil; and

  • the harvest is the end of the world; and

  • the reapers are the angels.

These seven points of explanation comprehend and clearly set forth what Christ meant by this parable…

Spirit of Gentleness

Spirit of Gentleness

Hi everyone. Thanks for visiting our website.

This particular video is a recap of our Wednesday morning Bible study on Galatians 6:1-5.

God, through the apostle Paul, is encouraging the Christians in Galatia to be gentle toward those who were overtaken in sin for a time but are now repentant and want to do better.

Let us do the same. Let us bear the burdens of others.

Let us make their life a little better even though it is hard.

God does not count our sins against us.

In this faith, let us not count the sins of those around us against them.

Joy In Suffering

This is a podcast of a sermon on Jesus Calming the Storm. The disciples are in great fear. They are on a boat in the middle of a bad storm. The boat is beginning to break. Where is Jesus? His sleeping in the belly of the boat. The disciples cry out, ā€œLord, save us. We are perishing.ā€ What happens next leads us to acknowledge a Christian joy that exists even in the midst of fear, and suffering, and even in the face of death. It is called faith in Jesus.
